The short version
Nikhil Daya is responsible for this website. Google Analytics is optional and does not load unless you select “Allow analytics”. I use it only to understand visits and page views, not for advertising or to identify you by name.
What is collected
If you allow analytics, Google Analytics may process the pages you visit, the time of your visit, referring website, approximate location, and technical information about your browser and device. It uses first-party analytics cookies, including a random browser identifier. This site does not send your name, email address or a user account identifier to Google Analytics.
Purpose and processing
The purpose is to understand how the portfolio is used and improve it. Google processes analytics information on my behalf and may process it outside South Africa. Google Signals and advertising personalisation are disabled in the site configuration. Read the Google Privacy Policy ↗.
Your choice
Analytics is off by default. Declining does not affect your use of the website. Your choice is saved in your browser so the site can remember it. Use the “Analytics settings” button at any time to change your choice. Withdrawing consent stops future analytics and removes this site's Google Analytics cookies from your browser.
Retention and control
Google Analytics retains user-level and event-level information according to the retention period selected for this analytics property. You can object to future analytics processing by declining or withdrawing consent through the “Analytics settings” button. Because analytics data is not associated with your name or email address, I cannot locate a particular visit from those details alone.
